According to him, these are essentially “cases transferred to the Paris region, so we cannot say that there is active transmission on Ile-de-France. “For three out of four cases, we know the chain of transmission,” said Jérôme Salomon, indicating that among the confirmed cases, 152 were part of a contamination chain, 47 returned from a risk zone abroad, and 21 have no “identified exposure”.

Jérôme Salomon also declared that “the French healthcare system was fully engaged” to try to contain and curb the epidemic.
