On Friday, the first prize pool was 159 million. Here’s how the draw went.
A Norwegian won the entire second prize pot on his own and took down the hefty sum of NOK 24,033,425 at Eurojackpot on Friday night. The Norwegian was therefore the only player to have 5 + 1 in a row.
– Now I’m completely numb. I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep tonight, says the man, who wants to remain anonymous.
– I have to let this sink in. Maybe I’ll understand what happened tomorrow, says the newly minted Eurojackpot millionaire.

The additional NOK 1 million national prize went to a man from Bærum.
– You’re kidding me, aren’t you? It’s heavy, a million crowns. Now the heart rate is getting very high here, says the man, who was relaxing with the news on TV when Norsk Tipping called him.
– I saw that the phone said “Norsk Tipping”, because I saved their number. At first I thought it was a message, but it was definitely a phone call from you. This fits very well, because I just renovated the bathroom, the courier said.
And he added:
– This was the main news on Friday. It can’t get any better. I’m going to celebrate a little now, says the man.
Chance to win Eurojackpot:
To win the Eurojackpot first prize, you must have 5 correct numbers out of 50 possible, as well as 2 correct numbers out of 12 possible. This gives a total of approx. 140 million possible combinations per row and the chance to win is therefore approx. 1: 140 million per row. For the second prize, the chance to win is approx. 1: 7 million per row, while the national premium (NOK 1 million) is approx. 1: number of lines.
