The Left is getting organized for the legislative elections while awaiting the verdict of the polls on Sunday evening. On Tuesday, the Socialist Party came out in favor of a rally with France Insoumise and the Union Populaire for the election next June. In Gironde, the president of the department, Jean-Luc Gleyze, also calls for the union of the Left and environmentalists to elect the greatest number of deputies. Objective: to weigh in the National Assembly.
A gathering of the left which, after the score of Jean-Luc Mélenchon in the first round, seems to have to go through an agreement, among others, with France Insoumise. For the socialist, Jean-Luc Gleyze, the programs are not incompatible.
In Gironde, one out of twelve constituencies is currently held by the Socialist Party, one by France Insoumise and nine by La République En Marche.
And in view of these legislative elections, the socialist Bruno Marty and the substitute candidate from Civil Society, Cathy Latrille, are gathering their supporters tomorrow at Le Tourne to launch their campaign on the 12th precinct.
Also, this evening, the action groups of France Insoumise du Lot-et-Garonne are doing the same from 7 p.m. in Port-Sainte Marie, at a place called Boussères. The leaders of the Popular Union will be present.
