The meeting is convened by a decree of President Rumen Radev on the grounds of Art. 75 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria.
According to the Constitution (Art. 76), the first sitting of the National Assembly is opened by the oldest member of parliament present. In the 45th National Assembly this is Mika Zaykova from “There is such a people”.
At the first sitting, the MPs took the following oath: “I swear in the name of the Republic of Bulgaria to observe the Constitution and the laws of the country and to be guided in all my actions by the interests of the people. I swore. “The anthem of the Republic of Bulgaria and the anthem of the European Union will be played in the plenary hall.
President Rumen Radev and Vice President Iliana Yotova will attend the first plenary session. Rumen Radev will address the people and the National Assembly.
Representatives of the parties and coalitions represented in the National Assembly are expected to make statements. After that, a chairman of the 45th National Assembly will be elected. The chair will chair the meeting and is expected to speak.
