The New York Stock Exchange falls on opening

New York stocks fell early Thursday on concerns about mixed distribution results and fresh comments from Fed members that pushed bond rates higher.

The Dow Jones index fell 0.69%, the tech-heavy Nasdaq lost 1.40% and the broader S&P 500 index fell 1.05%.
