Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and new health restrictions, the New York Philharmonic will not be able to start its season in January as initially planned and has announced that it will be forced to cancel it entirely until June 13, 2021. This cancellation is a first in the orchestra’s 178 years of existence.
The free portal NY Phil Plays On stay active. The orchestra also hopes to be able to broadcast live concerts this winter as part of its program. NY Phil Bandwagon and calls for donations to support this goal. (NF)
