The new restrictions will not only apply with a passport to opportunities

“According to the rules currently approved by the Minister of Health, one of the medical documents from the e-health system can be used instead of the Opportunity Passport: the EU digital COVID certificate, the vaccination statement, the document proving the illness. COVID-19 disease, or an extract from a negative test result, ”the ministry said in a comment to the BNS.

“These documents, which cannot be accessed by themselves, can be issued by their health care institution,” it said.

Until now, the opportunity passport could have been vaccinated after being ill when the disease was confirmed PGR or antigen test, as well as people testing. From Monday, such an opportunity should also appear for relapsed people who have a positive antibody test result.

According to the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the passport is currently valid for one month, but should be extended to two months from next week.

Director of Service Management of the Center of Registers Diana Vilyt notes that the government has set a maximum validity period of 210 days for people with disabilities to use the access passport. This means that if the passport is removed a few days before the end of this period, it will not be valid for two months.

“After this deadline and when checking such a passport, a red signal will light up,” a spokeswoman for the Center of Registers told BNS.

According to her, the same procedure will apply even if the government includes antibody tests, they have a 60-day deadline.

Retirees worry, the ministry promises solutions

Grasilda Makarevičienė, the head of the Lithuanian Association of the Elderly, told BNS that the new procedure will be especially inconvenient for pensioners.

“Nonsense, I don’t even know how to name this thing. Not all people of our age can use these technologies. These procedures are created here in the offices and people who live in remote areas are not taken care of at all, ”the woman explained.

She added that the situation is not facilitated by the withdrawal of the opportunity passport in the branches of the Center of Registers. There are 50 in their country.

“There are no branches in the outermost regions. In the big cities, we took a taxi and drove away, but you need to think about all the people. In remote areas, the bus to the center runs only once a day, and you have to go a little further, ”said G. Makarevičienė.

The ministry says solutions are being sought and should be made in the near future.

“In the near future, we plan to expand the number of places for collecting physical passports. “Options are currently being discussed,” the comment said.

According to the ministry, it is also being decided how to facilitate the issuance of an opportunity passport for minors from 16 years of age. At present, if minors do not have electronic banking or an e-signature, parents can obtain an opportunity passport at the offices of the Center of Registers.

Opportunity passport, according to the Center of Registers, but once withdrawn online about 700 thousand. people. It was printed in the offices of the Center of Registers for 13 thousand. together.

Next week, the government is expected to introduce new restrictions that allow some activities to be allowed only with a passport for opportunities.
