The 8th generation of the queen of sports is offered, it is tradition, a Targa version, half-cut, half-spyder.

A retractable roof, a roll bar and a part of the roof that protects the rear seats. Since 1965, Porsche has been in the habit of declining its sports cars in Targa version. Not really cut, not really convertible, right in between. And the eighth generation of the 911, the Type 992, presented at the end of 2018, is no exception to this tradition of the German manufacturer.
On these Targa 4 and 4S, the roof opens in 19 seconds, and they are equipped with a twin-turbo six-cylinder flat. 385 horsepower for the 4, 450 horsepower for the 4S, and respective maximum speeds of 289 and 304 km / h. Two more powerful versions than the 7th generation, up to 30 additional horsepower.
The new generation Targa is fitted as standard with the PDK 8-speed dual clutch transmission, but the owner can choose, for free, to replace it with a 7-speed manual transmission.
A special edition of the Porsche 911 Type 992 Targa in June
On the design side, no big news, it takes up the design of the 992. As in the 911 Carrera, the interior is a tribute to the 70s, clean lines and minimalism, with a touch of technology: two screens around the rev counter (still in the center, of course), and a 10.9-inch center screen.
The new 911 Targa 4 puts on 19-inch front wheels, 20 rear wheels, and an extra inch for the 4S. The latter can optionally be fitted with four steered wheels. If the 911 is a sports car, it can be used every day, thanks to Smartlift technology, which allows the front axle to be lifted.
Targa 4 is available from € 130,665, the 4S from € 146,255. In June, Porsche should unveil the first special edition of this Targa version…
