The New 2023 CR-V Hybrid: Efficiency, Safety, and Extended Warranty – A Reliable SUV by Honda

The new CR-V Hybrid promises to offer efficiency, safety, greater autonomy, state-of-the-art equipment, extended warranty, in short – a car you can rely on.

Beyond this brief description, however, lie many innovations designed to make the CR-V one of the largest and most equipped models offered by Honda at the moment.

The new design of the Honda CR-V has a familiar look but evolved to become a contemporary, distinctive and athletic SUV.

It is an SUV that weighs between 1.75 tons (Executive 4×2 variant) and 1.9 tons (Advance Tech variant), has 18-inch alloy wheels, aerodynamic LED headlights with sequential turn signal lights, panoramic glass roof .

The length of the SUV is just over 4.7 m, the width is almost 1.9 m (2.15 m with the mirrors not folded) and the height is about 1.7 m. The ground clearance is 19-20 cm for the Executive and Advance versions and 16 cm for the Advance Tech.

Trunk volume is 587 L for Executive variants, 579 L for Advance variant and 635 L for Advance Tech. And this can increase by over 480L when the rear seats are folded down.

2023 CR-V Hybrid equipment variants and features

Of course, the Honda CR-V Hybrid offers all the modern safety options on its trim levels. Systems such as ABS, ESP, Collision Mitigation, SRS or emergency retractor seat belts are just a few of the dozens of technologies designed to protect the driver, passengers, even pedestrians.

The CR-V offers four main trim levels: Executive 4×2, Executive 4×4, Advance 4×4 and Advance Tech 4×2.

As we can easily tell, two of the options offer permanent 4×4 drive, while two others have front-wheel drive only.

As driving options, all variants offer ECON, SPORT, NORMAL and SNOW. Only Advance Tech also offers the TRACKING mode.

The Executive variants offer, among others, features such as Smart Entry & Start System, panoramic roof with opening, mixed natural and synthetic leather upholstery, 10.2-inch display, Apple Carplay & Android Auto, air conditioning, wireless charger, electric tailgate.

For the CR-V Advance range, Honda adds to the above options a 360-Multi view camera system, a 12-speaker BOSE audio system, Head Up Display, ventilated front seats, heated rear seat, Smart LED High Beam Headlights adaptive and cornering lighting system.

In addition, Advance Tech benefits from four electric driving modes: AUTO/ELECTRIC/SAVE/CHARGE and an automatic parking system – Honda Parking Pilot.

Ce motor are Honda CR-V Hybrid

Both CR-V Executive versions and the Advance version are equipped with an e:HEV Hybrid propulsion system, 184 HP that provides a torque of 335 Nm and an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 9 seconds.

It consists of a classic 2-liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine and two electric motors. And the e:HEV system, which we also find in the Honda HR-V or ZR-V models, is designed to alternate between electric and gasoline propulsion, so as to provide the best power-efficiency ratio.

The electric drive is active almost 80% of the time, and the petrol engine only kicks in when the e:HEV system detects that it is more efficient. This usually happens at average cruising speeds when the rev level and load are optimal.

When decelerating, the electric motor is engaged by the car’s transmission, producing electricity that it transmits to the battery. The regenerative force can be set to 4 levels of intensity using the paddles on the steering wheel resulting in slower or steeper deceleration, and depending on that it recovers more or less energy.

Recharging is done by means of the thermal engine that drives an electric motor, being supplemented with a regenerative braking system. When fully charged and with a full tank of fuel, Honda guarantees that the CR-V can travel up to 960 km non-stop.

All these versions are therefore equipped with batteries that charge themselves on the go. The only CR-V variant that also offers the Plug-in option is the Advance Tech. It offers a battery with a range of 82 km and zero emissions, and when it runs out, the e:PHEV system automatically switches to hybrid mode.

Basically, from behind the wheel you won’t even realize when the transition from one propulsion system to another is made.

How much does the Honda CR-V Hybrid cost?

In Romania, the Honda CR-V Hybrid Executive 4×2 has a starting price of approximately 47,000 Euros, including VAT. The Executive 4×4 variant costs just under 49,500 Euros, and the Advance 4×4 retails for almost 54,000 Euros.

The most expensive variant of the Honda CR-V is the Advance Tech, which has a catalog price of 59,400 euros.

Honda announces that all these models can also be purchased through the Rabla Program.
