The musical Parade will have a revival in New York with Ben Platt

The program Encore! of the New York City Center will bring the musical to life on stage Parade.

This very first revival of the musical Parade will be directed by Michael Arden and will be performed from February 21 to August 6, 2023 at the Jacobs Theater in New York.

Parade, which premiered in 1998 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, is inspired by a significant event in the history of the United States. The show tells the life of a Jewish cut, Lucille and Leo Frank, separated by life and who will become closer when Frank is going to be accused of murder. These are Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen) and Micaela Diamond who will play the title roles.

The Musical Parade, which had been nominated in 9 categories at the Tony Awards, won two: Best Book and Best Score. The libretto is by Alfred Uhry and the music and lyrics are by Jason Robert Brown.
