The musical competition to play with YUNGBLUD

Vans opened subscriptions for the new edition of the Vans Musicians Wanted contest. Created in 2015 but launched globally for the first time in 2020 as a digital contest, the competition gives place to musicians and bands that are just beginning or are independent, celebrating new talent and “Off The Wall” of all genres.

In this opportunity, undiscovered artists will have the opportunity to have international exposure and to share the stage with British rocker YUNGBLUD. Likewise, there are other additional prizes such as Vans products, Kramer equipment, a TuneCore premium prize package, global distribution of your music, playlist on Spotify and more.

Judges who will be part of the selection process include Denzel Curry -the rapper, writer and comic artist featured in the brand’s latest campaign-; Julia Michaels -Singer and songwriter nominated for the Grammy-; Sean Miyashiro -creative visionary and founder of 88rising-, and YUNGBLUD, artist present in the Billboard charts in the US and UK.

How to participate in Vans Musicians Wanted?

Artists will be able to submit their original music from this Wednesday, July 7 to July 23, 2021 in the web Vans.com.ar/MW. In addition, there you can read the rules and terms and conditions of the contest.

The five finalists from each region will be selected to perform in the Vans Musicians Wanted series of virtual shows, to be held in September this year.

In addition, the major regional winners will be selected to receive Vans products, Fender equipment, global distribution of their songs, playlists on Spotify and Apple Music and the opportunity to share the YUNGBLUD stage live and with the public in 2022.

Historia de Vans Musicians Wanted

Originally created by the Vans Asia-Pacific region in 2015, the Vans Musicians Wanted competition began as a program to directly allow unknown local musicians to submit their original music and be discovered nationwide.

The 2020 Vans Musicians Wanted platform had more than 22,000 subscriptions from artists around the world. Building on this success, the digital music platform continues to curate and build brand experiences that are accessible, enabling them to participate through digital submissions and through a series of virtual contests on a global scale.

Through the interactive website, artists from the United States, Mexico, Central and South America, Europe and Asia-Pacific shared their original songs with a wide audience. Last year’s winners were JoeJas (UK), Lucía Tacchetti (Argentina), and numnum (South Korea).
