The case with the termination of the contract for the construction of the zoo between the Municipality of Plovdiv and the company “Zapryanovi 03” Ltd. has developed, he learned Plovdiv24.bg. The District Court in Plovdiv has decided that the Municipality of Plovdiv will pay over BGN 550,000 to the company “Zapryanovi – 03”, of which BGN 127,000 is interest for delayed payments. These delayed payments are due to already performed construction activities, which, however, the current management of the municipality refused to pay.
While “Zapryanovi 03 “claimed more 515 000, of which about BGN 115,000 were interest, which the court did not recognize. This amount was the topic of discord between the municipality and the contractor.
The court’s decision stipulates that the costs of the case be paid jointly and severally between the two parties. The court did not fully respect the financial claims of the company that built the zoo in Plovdiv, which claimed almost double the compensation from what was awarded to them.
The decision of the court can be appealed within 14 days in the Court of Appeal.
We remind you that the contract of the municipality for the Plovdiv Zoo with the company “Zapryanovi-03” Ltd. was terminated almost 2 years ago.
Now the Municipality of Plovdiv will have to launch a new public procurement as soon as possible so that the project for the Plovdiv Zoo can be completed.
