The Bayerisches Staastsballett company, the ballet of the Munich Opera, will inaugurate the 36th edition of the Castell de Peralada Festival on July 8, with a program that includes five pieces impregnated with the “universal language” of dance, as explained this Thursday its director, Laurent Hilaire.
Following the pattern of recent years, the Empordà festival is betting on a dance show for the first and second days, which this year has varied from the one initially announced in February, when it was indicated that the chosen one was ballet of the Mariinsky theater in St. Petersburg, a performance that ended up being canceled due to the war in Ukraine.
