The best Mountain biking The sixth edition of the Ruta MTB Natura Bike has come together throughout the weekend in the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, this year I MTB Half Marathon, organized by SDomínguez Producciones together with the Natura Bike Cycling Club and sponsored by Ciudad del Motor by Grupo Indamotor, with the collaboration of the City Council of Níjar and Almesu.
Participation
With 150 cyclists during the day on Saturday, with all the female categories and all the men’s, except for the latter of the elite and the master 30, and another 150 on Sunday, already with the exclusive participation of these two categories, the test has been a success, with a spectacular tour of 37 kilometers with departure and arrival in a unique environment such as Cortijo del Fraile, and which also ran through the interior of the natural park, crossing scenarios such as the Rodalquilar or Los Albaricoques mines.
Saturday set the best time of José Antonio Ibáñez (Albox Bike) and Miguel Ángel Berruezo (El Valle), with 1 hour, 14 minutes and 41 seconds, within the male master 40 category, completing the podium of this category Juan Jesús Paniagua (Vas ), one second. In the sub-23 category, the first place went to Enrique Fuentes (Semar), followed by José María San Miguel (Sabika) and Francisco José Moreno. Eduardo Juan Martínez Herrero (Oxygenbike Team) was the best in master 50, followed by José Juan Martínez (Bikestore Almería) and Juan Antonio Ayala (Bicycles Aristides) and in master 60 the victory was José López Segura (Bikestore Almería) ahead of José Navarro (Kamaga Bike) and Juan José Alonso (City of Almería).
In the two inferior categories, the best in junior was Raúl González (Faster Wear Team), ahead of Mario Moreno (Peña Ciclista Egabrense) and Francisco García Codina (Pedalbike Huércal-Overa), while in cadet Jorge Alcaraz won followed by Stanislaw Bielecki and José María Calvente . In the cyclotourists, the first place was taken by Nicolás Díaz, followed by Manuel Rodríguez (Natura Bike Comarca de Níjar) and Miguel Ángel López.
Female
Refering to female participation, the victory went to Mª Dolores Leyva (Semar), of the elite category, with 1 hour, 31 minutes and 50 seconds. In master 30 Mª Ester Ibáñez prevailed and in master 40 the podium was made up of Esther Garvi (Fondón-Alpujarra), Isabel Peña (Docudest MTB) and Mª Ángeles García. Guinevere Mayhew won the 50th master’s degree, ahead of Mª Carmen Requena (La Amatista Female).
With all these categories already contested on Saturday, this Sunday the two queen tests of the I MTB Half Marathon Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, the elite and male master 30, who have put on a great show.
Jose David Latorre (Pedalbike Huércal-Overa) has won the elite category with the best time, 1 hour, 10 minutes and 46 seconds, followed by Joaquín Torres, 16 seconds, and Francisco Javier Ramos (Meitel), 17 seconds. Nicolás Mercader (Ciclos N’Ruta) has emerged as the winner among the 30 masters, with 1 hour, 11 minutes and 21 seconds, followed by Juan José Meca (Oxygenbike Team), at 14 seconds, and Gabriel Sánchez (Ciudad de Almería) , 15 seconds.
