The MotoGP delegation was hosted by President Jokowi at the Palace, Boss Dorna was proud

Event forthe rider MotoGP in Jakarta left a very positive impression for Dorna boss Carmelo Ezpeleta. Especially the group MotoGP also welcome President Joko Widodo at the State Palace.

On Wednesday (16/3) this morning, no less than 20 riders had gathered on the veranda of the State Palace to be greeted by President Jokowi.

The number one Indonesian then gave a treat in the form of ginger wedang and a number of snacks for Marc Marquez c. who came with a motorbike and full racing clothes.

After being accepted by Jokowi, parade MotoGP moving from the front yard of the State Palace. The convoy moved from the north independence road to the Hotel Indonesia roundabout.

“This is an extraordinary event, with all the riders helping us a lot with this promotion, Indonesia is one of the largest countries in the world for MotoGP,” said Ezpeleta in a MotoGP release received by detikSport.

“We are very proud to be received at the palace by the President, it was something extraordinary and we really appreciate it. We are very happy to do it, the effort that has been made by the race organizers to create this parade, by involving the riders, is something very impressive.”

Parade MotoGP This is part of enlivening the return of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championship to Indonesia. At the weekend there was the Pertamina Grandprix of Indonesia which became the second series of MotoGP 2022.

The series of track activities, also known as the Mandalika MotoGP, will be held at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit from Friday (18/3) to Sunday (20/3).

“We already knew from many years ago, when we were here, that MotoGP in Indonesia was very popular. We thought this would be a very good event and something very important for this sport,” said Ezpeleta.

“We hope this will be the first of many; we already have a long-term agreement to race in Indonesia. The organization and the circuit are new, but everyone has worked together to make it a success.”
