The Moto G84: A Mid-Range Phone with Flagship Design and Features

The new Moto G84 has the design of the Edge 40 flagship series, including a faux leather back, and a 6.55-inch pOLED display with 120 Hz, Full HD resolution and 1300 nits brightness. Inside is a Snapdragon 695 with 5G connection, a 5000mAh battery with 30W charging, a 50MP main camera with optical stabilization or 12/256GB at an attractive foreign price.

Quite out of the blue, today Motorola presented its latest mid-range phone in India, which should later also head to our market. This is the Moto G84, and the primary advantage of this model is supposed to be a design that clearly refers to the flagship Edge 40 series. In addition, we also have colored artificial leather on the back like the best models of the brand.

The 6.55-inch pOLED display with very thin frames, 10-bit colors, Full HD resolution, 120 Hz frequency and brightness of up to 1300 nits also sounds very promising. So Motorola is not lagging behind other manufacturers from China. There are stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 16 Mpx front camera, a 50 Mpx main camera with optical stabilization and an ordinary 8 Mpx wide-angle sensor.

Inside is a slightly older Snapdragon 695, which means a 5G connection. There is also a 5000mAh battery with 30W charging or a 3.5mm headphone jack. The manufacturer officially only promises an update to Android 14 and 3 years of security, but we can expect that the phone will receive at least Android 15.

Moto G83 will be available in three colors, which helped to mix Pantone once again in only one 12/256GB version. Unfortunately, we do not have the European price yet, but after recalculating the Indian price and including tax, we are looking at 6.5 thousand crowns. Personally, however, I would expect a higher European price, as always.
