Experts present a package of measures for more climate protection
In order to achieve the German climate goals, experts are calling for a fundamental reform of the tax and levy system and a coal phase-out by 2030. In the transport sector, climate-damaging subsidies for cars with internal combustion engines should no longer be promoted, according to a joint paper presented on Thursday in Berlin . In addition, environmental groups called on CDU boss Armin Laschet to give up his resistance to bringing forward the coal phase-out.
