Artūrs Homjakovs, a hockey player of the Latvian champion team “Zemgale / LLU”, received a three-game suspension for rudeness in the last league match “Mestis” against Forsa FPS, according to information available on the league website .

Khomyakovs received a severe penalty for unauthorized evasion of a power play – for not being “glued” to the side of the field, the attacker crouched, technique not allowed, thus earning a penalty of 5 + 20 minutes, which has now resulted in a suspension for the next three games of the second power play league in Finland.

The 24-year-old hockey player has scored four goals and assisted his teammates four times in eight “Mestis” league games, winning the championship gold helmet that the team’s top scorer gives. Homjakova also has good statistics in the Latvian league – 5 + 4 in eight games.
