The oldest fairy tale
It was marked by the press in 1920 as the first Czech fairy tale intended for children Little Red Riding Hood, which was directed by Svatopluk Innemann. However, the audience had to wait until 1952 for the first successful fairy tale, which became a model for future creations. That’s when it was born Proud princess, directed by Bořivoj Zeman, with Alena Vránová in the role of Princess Krasomila and Vladimír Ráž in the role of Prince Miroslav. Upon its premiere, the fairy tale took first place in the ranking of the most watched films in our country, with 8,223,010 viewers.
The most expensive fairy tale
In the category of the most expensive Czech fairy tales, the film still holds the lead Devil quill of the year 2018. The fairy tale comes from the workshop of the creators of the Blaník Office and its budget reached 65 million crowns. Jan Cina was cast in the main role of the devil Boniface, who is sent into the world. Ondřej Vetchý played the role of Lucifer.
