The Moëlanaise association for blood donation was in general assembly, this Saturday, June 26, at the MLC. Yves Bernard, the president, opened the meeting by welcoming the presence of the volunteers, including two new ones. “Despite the health situation, blood drives were maintained and the protocol was adapted. Our association has also had to adapt to this by reducing the number of volunteers made available. They responded present and were strongly involved during this period “, underlined the president,” but it is now necessary to intensify the withdrawals, with the resumption of non-urgent operations suspended for a time “.
Regarding the association, relations with the French Blood Establishment are good. In 2020, the donation record is 400 donors spread over five collections. The moral and financial reports were adopted unanimously, as were the five candidates for the board of directors. During this general meeting, the idea of organizing an EFS graduation ceremony in early 2022 for the 167 donors concerned in Moëlan was put forward. The mayor and the deputy responded very favorably.
The next Moëlanaise blood drive will take place on Thursday, July 22 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ellipse.
