The Ministry of Education presents its “Spillkëscht” in Mamer

Friday March 26, 2021 a officially launched the action “Time fir that the game, Time fir that discover, Time fir that chat ” (Of time to play, time to discover, time to talk) by the Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth (LESS). The presentation ofe this campaign took place in the school Kinneksbond, at Mamer.

The Minister of National Education Claude Meisch presents the Spillkëscht to students of cycle 4.2 of the EF Mamer.

The aim of the action is to improve the well-being of children, often in a situation of distress in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic. Another goal is to prevent young people from spending too much time in front of the computer screen, on their tablets or in front of the television. LFor this purpose, the ministry has composed a game box, which will be distributed to all fundamental schools in the country. Each box contains ten board games, which students can borrow and take home to play with their family, creating moments of relaxation and dialogue. In all, 3,200 game boxes will be made available to schools.

The first crate full of games was distributed to Bob’s class Feyereisen (cycle 4.2) from primary school Kinneksbond at Mamer. The students were very interested in the contents of the box. Some immediately announced that they wanted to take a game home. However, the young people also took the opportunity to ask a few questions to the Minister of Education, Claude Meisch. The subjects discussed, for example, concerned the evolution of COVID-19, the wearing of masks or the common tests, which the schoolchildren must undergo at the end of their schooling in the fundamental one.

Previously, the MENEJ had already put the site online www.kannerzait.lu on which there is a catalog of ideas for creative, cultural, physical activities, etc. Le site www.schouldoheem.read on his side offers fun activities.

Luc Feller (dr.), Alderman responsible for education, gives explanations on the construction of the new school swimming pool to Minister Claude Meisch.

Before the symbolic handing over of the game box, the minister had received from the alderman responsible for the schools of Mamer, Luc Feller, explanations on the new school swimming pool, under construction on the Kinneksbond campus.
