The mayors of the Coruña area take up the idea of the Commonwealth. The As Mariñas Consortium has initially approved the statutes that will govern the Commonwealth, with the favorable votes from Abegondo, Bergondo, Betanzos, Cambre, Culleredo and Sada. Oleiros and Carral abstained. From here they will be exposed to the public and will be submitted to a report from the Provincial Council.
Then they will be raised to an assembly of the councilors of the eight municipalities for their approval and will be ratified in each plenary session. The As Mariñas Consortium has also approved a new contract for the transport service and elimination of rejects. The municipalities increase the budget to an average of 53 euros per ton, an amount similar to that paid by the City Council of A Coruña. The contract will be temporary, as long as is not formalized with A Coruña that of Nostián, as reported by the Consortium. It includes a clause that will decline without penalty as soon as the service is available.
