The mayor of a town in Montpellier Métropole affirms his support for hunters

One word: Bravo. Bravo Madame Michelle Cassar, mayor of the municipality of Vignan in Hérault which is part of the municipalities of Montpellier Métropole.

Montpellier, you know one of those cities that fell under the “environmentalist” yoke which decided in December to withdraw all of its territories from hunters. (see our article of 12/30/202: The city of Montpellier withdraws the hunting rights on municipal property) by terminating the agreements made with hunters for years.

It is a wind of anger which blows at least as strong as the Tramontane since, and well beyond the department. Indeed, hunters, including the Federation, take a very dim view of this war being waged by certain elected officials of the municipality of Montpellier. This is also the case for certain mayors who are part of the Montpellier Metropolis and who were brought in despite themselves in the wake.

This is the case of the mayor of Pignan, Ms. Michelle Cassar who published a press release last Friday to let it be known that her municipality had not terminated any agreement with the hunters and even reaffirmed their support for them: “This is why I want to confirm to you what I said to you recently and that I repeated yesterday to other hunters, namely that there is no question that I prohibit hunters from hunting on the territory of our beautiful village of Pignan ”
