The manufacturer revealed a trick to keep cheese fresh and tasty in the refrigerator for 4 weeks

Most everyone has cheese in the fridge. This is a completely common food that we buy on a regular basis. But most of all we have trouble keeping it fresh. How to keep cheese fresh and tasty for a long time?

Dairy products from the refrigerator

Almost all of us regularly buy hard cheeses. It is one of the most common dairy products we can buy. Although its shelf life is quite long, it sometimes happens that it spoils too soon. Visible coating, mold or an unpleasant aftertaste mean that the product has already passed its minimum shelf life. Sometimes it’s the fault of poor storage in the shop, other times it’s our fault.

Bags from the store? There is no way

A secret that many of us still don’t know is the correct storage of cheese. Do not seal it in a plastic container. Do not leave it in the original bag it was cut in at the store. However, it is possible to store the cheese so that it stays fresh for several weeks. But this dairy product literally hates airtight packaging. Its cultures are still developing and working in it. By closing in a space with no access to air, a valuable product quickly deteriorates.

Not the office one, of course. You will need parchment paper. Remove the cheese from its original packaging and wrap it in baking paper. That way it will last a long time and you don’t have to worry about it getting moldy. Of course, the baking paper trick is also suitable for sausages. Hams, salamis and other sausages retain their natural moisture, aroma and texture in this package. Plastic packaging is therefore only used as food transport packaging.

Enjoy the full taste

Do you want the cheese to be as good as possible? Take it out of the fridge an hour before eating it. Then he will have the opportunity to adapt to the room temperature, where his taste and aroma will fully develop. Always only cut the amount you will consume directly. Leave the rest of the wrapped snack in the refrigerator.

Cheese should always be cut with a clean, dry knife. When you cut it with a knife you used for sausages or vegetables, you can transfer bacteria or dirt to the food, which causes it to spoil much faster.
