The main creators of the Suikoden series launch a new game

Japanese studio Rabbit & Bear, which brings together the main creators of the legendary J-RPG Suikoden, announced his future title named Eiyuden Chronicle : Hundred Heroes.

For the occasion, a Kickstarter campaign will start on July 27 with a 1is level for the PC version at $ 500,000. Considering the first images and the team at the head of the project, we can think that the objectives will be quickly achieved.

And for good reason, the developers all have in common having worked on one or more episodes of Suikoden. During a speech by Yoshitaka Murayama, studio creator, we immediately feel the influence of the series in the mechanics and the style of adventure he wishes to set up.

This new title will be a J-RPG with graphics 2.5D in high resolution. We will have the possibility of recruiting 100 different heroes each with their own story and background. A fortress will serve as headquarters and will be customizable according to the characters recruited. A guild system will also appear and will give us the opportunity to modify the characteristics of the fortress.

But tell me, doesn’t it remind you of a certain game? We are clearly on an inspiration from Suikoden and its 108 stars (characters), right? Murayama and his team want to hit hard with their new studio and by wanting to launch a quality J-RPG, they couldn’t ask for better inspiration. In any case, Murayama has already succeeded in his first bet: to interest the fans… and us the first!

If the Kickstarter is successful, an Xbox version is already planned. Take a look at this short trailer to get an idea of the title and pray (poor fishermen?) That the fundraising campaign is a real success.
