Just a year after teaming up with Dipset for a collaboration with the New York Knicks, Kith called on another legendary New York hip-hop group for their new campaign.
The LOX had the wind in their sails after their resounding victory at the Verzuz against Dipset in August. This extends to the world of fashion as The LOX and Kith are teaming up for a new collab. On Wednesday, the streetwear brand recruited The LOX for a new freestyle at Madison Square Garden. For nearly four minutes, Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch exchanged verses while sporting the collection Kith x Nike x New York Knicks.
To celebrate Kith’s 10th birthday, Jada wore a sports jacket with the label 2011-2021 sewn on the back. Meanwhile, Sheek Louch shows off a black coach jacket with a Kith x Nike logo on the left chest, while Styles P wears a black Kith x Nike windrunner jacket. The LOX collection will be available on Kith’s website on Christmas Day (December 25).
A trident of sharp flows
Jada starts off with basketball-inspired action, rapping: “Sometimes it’s hard for me to spit out the soul track / Knowing that this music business is politically controlled / As we come where we come from, the triple threat is all we know / Shoot the rebounder , feint it, or bring it to the hole ”.
Kiss’s verse sets the stage for Sheek, who begins his verse by rapping, ” New York, New York, what’s bigger than that / The house of Jay-Z et Nas, in fact, the house of Biggie and Kiss ”. Of course, Styles P takes over and delivers a spectacular verse that supplants the previous two.
Fans keep talking about this freestyle, especially since Kith asked Dipset to do a similar one last year for their collaboration. The drop sold out in minutes last year, and Kith is hoping to achieve the same result this time around, given the lasting effects of that famous Verzuz fight.
