That’s what we call a busy week for publishers. After Paradox earlier this week and before Capcom, which gives us an appointment this evening for a new Spotlight, it was Nacon’s turn to organize its first conference of the year 2023. And the least we can say is that it was truly rich in announcements since no less than 16 games were presented there. In the lot was then The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, which got a new trailer for the occasion.

The Story of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Unfolds

For this new communication time, Daedalic has indeed chosen to reveal more to us about the story of this future game which, as we know, will feature the character of Gollum in search of his precious. This epic will notably lead players to explore the lands of Middle-earth, where several emblematic characters from JRR Tolkien’s license can be encountered. The studio also takes the opportunity to recall thatit will be an entirely original story.

This trailer allows us to pass enjoy some never-before-seen gameplay footage, revealing in particular the different environments of the game, certain platform phases but also some short infiltration sequences. Unfortunately for fans, the presentation ended without a new release date for the game, which should nevertheless arrive by September 2023 at the latest. As a reminder, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
