The lights will turn off at the intersections on the Olomouc Pass

In the middle of next week, however, it is planned to reduce the speed to 30 kilometers per hour in selected sections and later to turn off the traffic lights.

If the weather does not complicate the construction company’s plans, the traffic lights at the intersection will be out of order from November 9 for a maximum of two weeks.

Next week, work will also begin at the intersection of Foerstray and Albertova streets.

“Traffic lights will also be switched off here, immediately after the completion of the second intersection with Svornosti Avenue,” said city spokesman Michal Folta.

In order to build a coordinated route, the intersections of Pražská and Třída Míru, Foerstrova and Svornosti, Foerstrova and Na Vozovce and Albertova and Štítného streets are gradually being modified.

“Olomouc has been building a smart traffic management system at busy intersections since August. A coordinated move will contribute to smoother traffic, “explained Deputy Mayor Martin Major.
