/ world today news/ We at “LEVITSATA!” are following with concern the three-month efforts to elect a chairman of the Metropolitan Municipal Council. The formations that successfully share the benefits of power in the government – GERB and PP+DB+”Save Sofia” – play a local staging of opposition and rulers, having “successfully” blocked the administration of the city and made 1.5 million citizens hostage to their false opposition . GERB set themselves the goal of retaining at least part of their positions of power, to have a chairman proposed by them elected, or to go to new elections, with the aim of achieving a better result for their party.
The election of the chairman of the SOS at the present moment is in the interest of all the citizens of Sofia and prevented the repetition of the ruling coalition at the local level.
Immediately before the session of the SOS, B. Borisov and K. Ninova came out with identical positions, namely – against the election of city management. We remind you that only a year ago, Ninova was eagerly waiting for Borissov for a leadership meeting in her much-desired third mandate to form a government.
Only less than a year ago, Ninova proposed the candidacy of Vezhdi Rashidov for the Speaker of the National Assembly, motivating herself with the necessary statesmanship. Today, her subordinate IB of the BSP, in the same situation, renounced its own advisers, deepening the destruction in the party. Ninova’s statesmanship motives seem to be present only when they serve her power ambitions.
We appeal to the left-wing municipal councilors to uphold their pre-election commitments, regardless of their party punishments, and to work for the citizens of Sofia.
