In the Latvian Cup and Garkalne Cup competition in Olympic rugby-7 on Sunday at Upesciems Stadium, the winners were the owners of the field – the first team players of the rugby club “Livonia”. In the final, the home team beat the team of Ķekava club “Miesnieki” with 17: 0.

In the first stage of the tournament, six teams were divided into two subgroups. Livonia-1 defeated KSSS 33: 5 and Phoenix 17:12, while Butchers won Hedgehogs 22: 5 and Livonia-2 26: 5.
In the semi-finals with the second place winners of the second group, Livonia-1 left “dry” “Hedgehogs” 10: 0, but “Butchers” – “Phoenix” 21: 0.
In the final game, “Eži” beat Valmiera’s “Phoenix” 24: 0, but in the match for the fifth place among the third place winners of the subgroup “Livonia”, the second team beat Ķekava County Sports School (ĶNSS) 10: 0.
