The last three seasons of the Mysterious Cities of Gold on display in Angoulême, 25 October 2022

Since last week, the Pôle Image Magelis hosts an exhibition entirely dedicated to the modern seasons of the intergenerational series The mysterious cities of gold.

It is therefore seasons 2, 3 and 4 that will be honored by the exhibition The secrets of the mysterious golden cities – 40 years of adventurescelebrating the 40th anniversary of the animated series launched in 1982. Jean-Luc Francois, director of the last few seasons, has directed this exhibition in collaboration with the Pôle Image Magelis and the producer Blue Spirit. Inaugurated on October 20, the event will be held until December 31, leaving everyone time to come and appreciate this presentation of a work that has shaken so many childhoods. Admission is free.

With the aim of being fun and educational at the same time, the exhibition will propose to retrace the journey of Estaba, Zia and Tao along a path. An artbook, available on site, will bring together the work of as many as 200 artists, allowing you to find out more about the production of the modern parts of the series.
