Craig Mazin recently revealed that The Last of Us season 2 premiere episodes were written before the writers went on strike earlier this year.
Despite the strike action, Mazin hopes the show will still return in 2025. “We really wanted to try and get the show aired when it was supposed to air,” He’s right expiration dateexplain.

The WGA strike recently joined the SAG-AFTRA strike as workers in Hollywood demand fair pay and safety in the face of looming artificial intelligence threats. If the strike action continues, it looks like The Last of Us will end up on the casualty list of the projects it was delayed by.
