The Last of Us Part II is without doubt one of the biggest releases of this year. The game came out about a week and a half ago and knew about us to impress. It also became clear then that the game sold pretty well.
But in the meantime, Sony has also released hard figures about how well The Last of Us Part II actually sells. After the first three days, the game was sold four million times. That left Sony on own blog.

The copies of The Last of Us Part II sold were measured on June 21, three days after the game’s release. The number of copies sold will therefore already be a lot higher at the moment. Nevertheless, it is an interesting measuring moment. Sony did the same with Marvel’s Spider-Man and God of War. Spider-Man accounted for 3.3 million copies sold during the same period, and God of War reached 3.1 million games sold. In the case of Sony, this concerns both the games that it has physically sold in the store and games that are purchased digitally. So Sony is actually the only party that can actually say something about the number of copies sold. And with this achievement, the game is the fastest-selling exclusive game on PlayStation 4.

In advance it was questionable whether The Last of Us Part II could become a new record holder. Spider-Man was a game that came out when the Marvel universe was boiling and had lower age advice.
