After the indefinite postponement, Sony has announced a new release date for The Last of Us Part 2. The new title from Naughty Dog will be released on June 19. The Ghost of Tsushima developed by Sucker Punch Productions also gets a new date.
The successor to The Last of Us (Test) was originally supposed to appear in February before the first postponement to May and then until further notice was announced.
Leaks follow the announcement
In parallel to the announcement of the date, extensive leaks of the game were uploaded. Various videos circulated on both Reddit and YouTube, which like Eurogamer reported but increasingly removed due to Sony’s concerns. According to the report, the video material also contains crucial cut scenes and story content, so that any player who is interested is advised not to watch them.
Ghost of Tsushima, which was initially scheduled for June 26, has been affected by a much shorter delay and will now be released on July 17.
Both games appear exclusively for PlayStation 4.
