Issue de Jon Bokenkamp (The Blacklist) and Richard D’Ovidio (The Call), The Last Frontier is a 10-episode series that will see Clarke play U.S. Marshal Frank Remnick, the sole marshal in charge of the quiet, rugged lands of Alaska, whose jurisdiction is upended when a prisoner transport plane crashes in the area. savage away, freeing dozens of violent inmates. Tasked with protecting the city he has sworn to keep safe, he begins to suspect that the crash was no accident, but rather the first step in a well-conceived plan with international political implications.
The Last Frontier will be produced by Apple Studios. Sam Hargrave (Tyler Rake) will direct the pilot and serve as executive producer alongside Bokenkamp, D’Ovidio and Clarke.
The series is added to the list of Apple projects which also includes City on Fire (expected for May 12), Masters of the Air, Lessons in Chemistry, High Desertet The Changeling.
