That’s it, “The Last Dance” is over and leaves millions of NBA fans on the floor. A masterpiece for some, destruction for others. Barely over and the hour of praise has come, except for Horace Grant.
Through the epic of Michael Jordan and his last season with Chicago in 1998, the docu-series managed to immerse themselves behind the scenes of the Bulls, for better … and worse. We are in January 1992, Jojo and his clique hit the Pistons and Lakers the previous summer and are walking back-to-back. MJ runs to the top and enjoys incomparable popularity. Except that instead of wishing him a happy new year, journalist Sam Smith publishes the book The Jordan Rules, in which he destroys the Jordan myth. From the ideal son-in-law to the tyrant of his teammates, the number 23 of the Bulls is then violently posterized by the reporter for the Chicago Tribune. Dennis Hopson or Will Perdue are among the victims of Jordan. Horace Grant was not spared either. So when Sam Smith hides behind the scenes in the United Center locker rooms, some players can turn into moles. In episode 6 of the series, doubts are shared but MJ points directly to his pivot Horace Grant. For ESPN, the strong winger with glasses is very angry and makes it known:
