It was a memorable evening in the Würzburg Residence: The 1st Elferrat Würzburg Carnival Society celebrated its 88th anniversary in the Fürstensaal. The center of attention was the presentation of the gold medal “Till von Franken” to the honorary president of the KaGe, Burkard Pfrenzinger. Society president Georg Göbel welcomed around 200 representatives of a dozen carnival societies from the region, from politics like District Administrator Thomas Eberth and Mayor Christian Schuchardt or from the ranks of the church, like Canon Clemens Bieber.
