According to him, they testify to the confidence of citizens in the head of state. The new Constitution, according to Mr. Peskov, will become the foundation for subsequent reforms.

Mr. Peskov noted that the new Constitution will become the foundation for further improvements. “This is a question of the future of the country, the near future. Of course … it is impossible to give an exact date, and it is probably inappropriate to ask the question when the Russians will feel, but now that the Russians have given such support to all initiatives to amend the Constitution, of course, this will all become the foundation for a better future for the country, ” said a spokesman for the president. At the same time, according to Mr. Peskov, it is too early to say what kind of reforms are in question, because “it will require legislative initiatives, lawmaking and so on, so work lies ahead.”
Voting took place from June 25 to July 1. According to the results of processing 100% of the protocols, 77.92% voted for the amendments, against 21.27%. The total turnout for the all-Russian vote on amendments to the Constitution was 67.97%.
