The Czech currency started the new week with further strengthening. It is the strongest against the euro since mid-March this year, and even against the dollar since September 2018.
Around 5 pm, it traded on the financial markets for 26.21 crowns per euro and for 22.25 crowns for dollar.

The German Ifo index of expectations ended better than expected. The monetary survey was also encouraging, which showed that the money supply in the euro area is accelerating its year-on-year growth rate, and lending activity remains decent, ”explains Jan Vejmělek, Chief Economist at Komerční banka.
Strong common European currency according to him, it was reflected in more valuable Central European currencies and therefore further strengthens the crown.
