Quoted from the book ‘Science in the Koran’ by Nadiah Thayyarah, it is explained that there are research results that show the Moon was formed 4.6 million years ago.

During its formation, the Moon received a barrage of blows from meteors and meteoroids. Due to the temperature of the Moon when it was very hot, there was a very powerful melting on its surface.

Thus, causing the formation of large holes called ‘Maria’ and high mountains with craters called ‘Craters’.

Later, the craters spilled lava in very large volumes and the lava filled the large holes. The mountains on the Moon also became inactive and the lava stopped flowing. Thus, the Moon dies.

Before humans knew that the Moon had initially shone, then died, the holy book of the Koran which was revealed approximately 14 centuries ago has revealed this.

As Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala says in Surah Al Isra Verse 12:

“And We made the night and the day two signs, then We abolished the signs of the night and We made the signs of the day clear that you may seek bounty from your Lord, and that you may know the number of years and the reckoning. And everything We have made plain. ” (Surat al -Isra: 12).
