Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says Apple plans launch a new 10.8 ″ iPad in the second half of 2020 and a new 8.5 ″ iPad Mini in the first half of 2021.
Kuo has not specified whether the 10.8-inch iPad model will be a new version of the 10.2-inch “cheap” iPad or the 10.5-inch iPad Air. As for the 8.5 inch model, it will be the successor to the current iPad mini. Apple last updated the iPad mini in March 2019 with an A12 Bionic chip, a camera before update and support for the first generation Apple Pencil.
For the moment, there is no other information concerning the possible technical specifications of the two models in question. Regardless, it is likely that there will be “minor” updates that will focus certain hardware changes, such as the SoC and the amount of RAM on board.
Kuo also adds that Apple should include a new 20W power adapter in the package of two new iPad models, which unfortunately, according to the latest rumors, will not be present. in the box of the next iPhone 12.
