Lukas Bolzli, now 23, started his goalkeeping career with the juniors of FC Merenschwand and the Aargauer team before moving to the U14 team of FC Zurich after a stint at FC Muri. In the Zurich U17 team he suffered a serious fracture of his wrist, which forced him to take a three-and-a-half-year break until the FCZ U21 team. Bolzli explains: “The FCZ wanted to keep me, but I decided to take a break in order to be able to fully recover.”
