BOLASPORT.COM – Assistant coach for the Indonesian U-20 national team, Nova Arianto, gave his response to the long-term TC program for the Indonesian U-20 national team.
As is known, Shin Tae-yong as the head coach of the Indonesian U-20 national team has held a long-term training camp in preparation for the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup since February 1, 2023.
In this program, the 30 best players have been summoned to the Indonesian U-20 National Team training camp for the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup which will be held from 1-18 March.
Apart from the U-20 Asian Cup, the 30 players are also projected to head to the U-20 World Cup which will be held on May 20-June 11 2023 in Indonesia.
Even so, the program received strong criticism published in various national media.
The first criticism certainly came from Persija Jakarta coach, Thomas Doll, who complained about the summons of the nine players needed to help the team in the 2022-2023 League 1 championship competition.
The feud between the two trainers was resolved through a meeting facilitated by PSSI on Tuesday (7/2/2023).
Apart from that, both national media and netizens on social media were shocked by PSSI’s efforts to ask two Indonesian U-20 national team players who are currently in Europe, namely Marselino Ferdinan and Ronaldo Kwateh to be able to take part in TC.
The two players recently moved to Europe, although Ronaldo Kwateh has not yet been officially signed by a club in Turkey.
