Banjarmasin, TV Ambassador — Banjarmasin City Health Office released the number of cases of dengue fever (DHF) that occurred last June.

Until June 30, it was recorded that there were at least 64 cases of DHF in Banjarmasin City. Ten of them are patients who are located in the Sungai Andai area of North Banjarmasin.

The Banjarmasin Kadinkes acknowledged 64 cases as of June. Ramadan is of particular concern. The reason is, in 2022, these 65 cases were an accumulation for one year or from January to December.

“Until June, there were 64 cases of DHF. It’s only been six months. In 2022, there were 65 cases in one year, which means there is an increase. This is our concern to re-move the community to become interpreters regarding mosquito detection. There were three cases of death. Our efforts are to mobilize the community through jumantik staff in 52 sub-districts as interpreters related to DHF to protect the environment. Of the 65, 10 patients were in the Andai River, because there are too many residents,” Ramadhan explained.
