971 Covid tests were carried out in three days, between Monday 27 and Wednesday 29 in the Dordogne department, the majority of which in Sarlat during the first major screening operation without a prescription and without an appointment.
Of these 971 tests, 3 were positive, for a positivity rate of 0.31%. Over these three days, 13,898 tests were carried out throughout New Aquitaine; 61 were found to be positive, for a positivity rate of 0.43%. As of July 31, the average rate at the national level is 1.5%, according to Public Health France.
Regarding the incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants, which represents the number of new cases of Covid diagnosed by a PCR test over the last seven days compared to the number of inhabitants, it reached 1.5 in Dordogne. At the national level, the average rate is 10.6 with peaks, for example, at 111 for Mayenne and 208 for Guyana.
These encouraging results should encourage Périgourdins and tourists to respect barrier gestures to continue to stem the spread of the virus.
