Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Beshara Boutros Al-Rai affirmed, during a meeting entitled “The Inclusive Chouf Meeting – Fruits of Reconciliation… and Future Prospects,” at the Baakline National Library, that the Lebanese people believe that there is no salvation for Lebanon except through its unity and unity in diversity. Together we diagnose our problem and search for a cure. “Why are we suffering? This is what we aspire to with Sheikh Al-Aql, and we will not back down from this work because it is a national duty.”
Al-Rai saw that “at the ecclesiastical and Christian level, reconciliation contributed to the return of the Christian population to their homes and livelihoods, the rebuilding of their homes in a remarkable way, the rebuilding of demolished churches and halls, and the return of social life as Christians with our Druze and Muslim brothers in all its positivity.”
Al-Rahi stressed that “the word reconciliation requires actions and initiatives, and I affirm that Lebanon’s health is the health of the mountain, and the Church is ready to cooperate with the citizens to achieve the possibilities of living.”
