The IMET will prepare a loss report in the taxi sector to request the aid
The associations of the Barcelona taxi sector, Paktaxi, Anget Taxi, TLU, Elite Taxi, Taxi Companys and STAC, have met with the Metropolitan Taxi Institute (IMET) to request that they intercede, and somehow get taxi drivers to arrive to get the aid promised by the government.
The IMET, at the request of the associations, will prepare a report on the average collection of a taxi in the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB) during the fourth quarter of 2019.
It will serve as a reference so that taxi drivers who have no other accounting means and meet the requirements to qualify for the cessation of activity benefit, can do so.
In addition, a study will be prepared on the impact of the decrease in demand in the sector and the economic viability of the activity.
As Todo Taxi has learned, the IMET has sent various communications to the competent Ministry and Regional Ministry, requesting aid for the sector.
Likewise, the IMET interceded with the rest of the administrations so that the sector can benefit from European aid for transport.
Petition that was initiated by the associations, although from the sector they regret that it is late.
