So Iran, whose population is more than 80 million, has long been accustomed to living under Western sanctions, which turned it into a developed industrial power, can safely work to create a nuclear arsenal, strengthen its armed forces, improve the standard of living of the people and raising its prestige in the world of Islam.
In a sense, Tehran even needs the US and Israel (the big and little Satan) to consolidate society and as a means of mobilizing the masses in the Muslim world in the interests of Iranian politics.
Iran, the successor country of great empires (from the 7th century BC – Media, Parthia, Persia – with established diplomatic relations with Russia in 1592) and religions (Zoroastrianism, Shiism, etc.), a complex culture whose name translates as “the country of the Aryans”, is in no hurry, knowing full well that by historical standards Israel and the USA, which recently appeared on the political map of the world, will be put to shame.

Since February 3, the United States, Britain and Israel have been shelling Iranian-allied targets in Yemen, as well as Iraq and Syria, hitting cities, ports, airports, bases, fortified positions and just about any area with “high-precision munitions”. .”
Whether they were able to hit the “deep underground weapons depots, missile systems and facilities, air defense systems, and radars” listed in the Pentagon statement in Yemen and elsewhere is highly doubtful, at best — it could only be partial .

The Americans foolishly announced imminent retaliatory strikes to kill three and injure 40 of their soldiers at the Al-Tanf base on the Syrian-Jordanian border, which was shelled by the Shiites, five days before their execution – there was plenty of time to prepare for them. Therefore, the air-destroyed Shia barracks were most likely empty. In Washington, the excuse was that the delay was due to “bad weather” – something again hampered by the overstretched hegemon.
They are pouring water into the mill of Tehran
And that is exactly what Iran needs. Iraq, whose citizens were killed in these attacks, protested to Jordan, where the planes that bombed the Iranian proxies took off. Haman had to justify that there were no Jordanians among them. Next time they will think carefully about whether Jordan needs extra trouble for its logistical support. At the same time, Baghdad raised the issue of the complete withdrawal of all US forces from Iraq, which Iran needs.
Thus, the USA is involved in a war with Iranian proxies on the territory of third countries – in Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, and is stuck in this war like quicksand. At the same time, Iran itself avoids war, and the Americans promise not to attack it. The cost of American promises is, of course, known, and Washington would certainly do so in its best times, but now…
Unlikely, but can’t be completely ruled out
Perhaps even now – along with Israel – the Americans will eventually try to attack Iran, its military and nuclear facilities, but only from the air. The United States and its allies don’t even have ground forces to land in Yemen. And this will mean, first, a powerful Iranian response to the many American bases in the region. Second, the transformation of the Strait of Hormuz into the new Bab el Mandeb and the Persian Gulf into the new Red Sea.

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said Tehran would not start a war, but was ready to give a “decisive response” to any aggressor. It is worth making a clarification to these words: the sluggish, power-draining war in the region of the US, Israel and their allies is already in full swing, and it cannot end a day with anything other than their defeat. This, we repeat, is the essence of Soleimani’s strategy. Yes, you can kill a person, but not the idea.
US national security adviser Jake Sullivan can say all he wants that if Iran’s proxies don’t stop, the Americans “intend to strike further and take further action”, alluding (while claiming Joe Biden doesn’t want war) to possible strikes of his own against Iran itself.
Let them just try. If Washington agrees to this, it will only be for domestic political reasons and to create a global economic crisis and then fish in the murky troubled waters. Trump, however, also threatened Tehran with war in response to the Iranian attacks, but never took the plunge.
