The Honduran taxi installs screens and limits the number of travelers
Pyubani Williams, president of the Honduran Institute of Land Transportation (IHTT), explained that in the course of this week the taxi rules will be established in different municipalities.
Honduran taxi drivers may only carry three passengers per vehicle, the seats will be separated by a screen, they will have hand gel available and the use of a mask will be mandatory.
This is how Williams explained it:
“We began during the course of this week with the piloting in different municipalities, as mentioned, for the taxi modality, and with the interurban we have been working for a few months to establish the protocol and now we have four routes that are the ones that let’s start ”.
“We are going to start with the reactivation of transport gradually; these first four routes that have been authorized are very important areas to carry out these tests and to see the commitment of transport to carry out all the biosecurity measures established in the protocols ”.
The commissioner explained that the taxis have to divide the vehicle with a screen so that there is no contact between people, so they can only transport three passengers.
