The great Bulgarian artist of Greek origin Michalis Garudis died yesterday in a hospital in Greece.

The sad news was announced by the secular chronicler Ivan Tenev on his Facebook profile. “The world-famous artist Michalis Garudis, a graduate of the Academy of Arts in Bulgaria, has left us! Rest in peace, my friend! Bright and blissful memory !!!”, Tenev wrote.
A few days ago, on October 5, a jubilee exhibition on the occasion of his 80th birthday was opened in the capital’s Arte Gallery. The exhibition was supposed to take place in 2020, but was delayed due to the COVID epidemic. He himself attended the opening.
When he returned to Greece, he was diagnosed with coronavirus. Due to complications, he was admitted to hospital yesterday, but unfortunately lost the battle with the virus.
